Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had a minor altercation Monday with a Seahawks staffer on the Lumen Field sideline in Seattle.
The Eagles led 17-10 and were facing third-and-8 from their 23-yard line with under two minutes left in the third quarter.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts tried to find Brown deep left but threw his pass well short. Brown ended up running into the Seahawks’ sideline.
As the two-time Pro Bowler walked back toward the field, he dealt a stiff shove to Seahawks cornerback Michael Jackson. A Seahawks staffer quickly retaliated with a bump on Brown, who quickly shoved the staffer back and then went face-to-face with the man.
An Eagles player getting into it with an opposing staffer is quite the role reversal from what went down during the Eagles-49ers clash earlier this month.
Eagles’ head of security “Big Dom” DiSandro exchanged words and got physical with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw . Both men were ejected from the contest. DiSandro was punished by the NFL after the game.
The exchange between Brown and the Seahawks staffer on Monday didn’t escalate any further.
Brown stayed in the contest and finished with five catches for 56 yards. But the Seahawks staffer got the last laugh as his team completed a come-from-behind 20-17 win over the visiting Eagles.
