JID and Big Boi recently sat down for a chat on Rolling Stone’s “Musicians On Musicians” series, where the OutKast legend shared a story about Goodie Mob’s Khujo.
It all started around the 9:16 mark, when JID spoke about his love for Khujo’s verse on OutKast’s 1998 Aquemini cut “Y’all Scared,” where he states, “Heat’ll make anything move/ Even Tyson, can get laid down, with this tool.” Big Boi then revealed that Tyson stepped to Khujo over the line.
Big Boi explained, “Man, let me tell you, Tyson walked upon Khujo at the BET Awards or some award show. Tyson got a lot more fights, but Khujo ain’t back down or nothin.’ He was just like, ‘Yea foo, yea foo,’ y’know what I’m sayin’? And Mike Tyson was like, ‘You had said something about me?’” You can listen in full above.
