Now, The Walking Dead (via WotNot) has released a trailer teasing what to expect in the upcoming The Ones Who Live season finale.

Are Rick & Michonne Really Going To Make It Home?
Rick and Michonne’s love story featured the pair finally coming back together after years of being apart, almost making it home if it wasn’t for Jadis’ interference. Now, however, they’re going to be forced to go back to the CRM to ensure Alexandria isn’t discovered while also learning the group’s ultimate purpose. The trailer indicates the pair might try and stop them from enacting whatever the next stage of their plan is, making it unclear if they’re really going to make it home.
Given how massive the CRM is, their best shot at damaging it would be the upcoming Summit, where the leaders of the group are going to gather. If Rick and Michonne are able to attack it, they might be able to deter or even stop whatever they’re going to learn from the Echelon Briefing. While the militarized organization seems too big to take down in just one episode, their actions might be able to put a temporary halt on what they’re planning.
However, it’s also possible whatever Rick learns at the Briefing makes him change his mind, perhaps now understanding why the CRM is doing what it does. This could potentially lead into The Ones Who Live season 2, crafting a more complex story as their struggle to get home continues through a new lens. With an unpredictable finale ahead, the next episode of Rick and Michonne’s spinoff could be their last – or the start of something new.
