The new collaboration will bring distinctive cannabis genetics to grow from seed directly to consumers through retail channels across the globe.

The initial six strains to be available internationally and in the U.S. – excluding Kansas and Kentucky – include Gelato 44, Dynamite Diesel, NYC Sour D (autoflower), GOAT’lato Auto, Punch Pie and Corkscrew (autoflower). An additional 12 strains, on tap for the three-year partnership, can be purchased as one-, three-, five- and 10-seed packs.

Shai Ramsahai, president of Royal Queen Seeds (RQS), shed light on the company’s efforts behind the deal.

“Since launching Royal Queen Seeds in the U.S. more than a year ago, we have been on the search for a partner who meets and exceeds our expectations in bringing exceptional cannabis products to market and TYSON 2.0 has consistently delivered,” Ramsahai said. “RQS believes that it is everyone’s right to be able to grow cannabis at home, and the seeds we’re launching with TYSON 2.0 create top-rate stunners—truly beautiful plants in terms of looks, flavor and effects.”

RQS, one of the world’s largest and most trusted cannabis seed banks born in the Netherlands and based out of Barcelona, announced in November 2023 its first dedicated retail space in the U.S. market within The House of Cannabis in New York City.

Mike Tyson, co-founder and chief brand officer of TYSON 2.0., commented on the benefits of cannabis cultivation at home.

“Growing my own cannabis has been very important to me. It has been a fundamental principle in my journey to deepen my relationship with the plant,” he said. “Growing cannabis at home is an amazing way to slow life down and find enrichment—and the pros with Royal Queen Seeds really know what they’re doing. These first six strains are a perfect taste of what’s to come.”

Adam Wilks, CEO of Carma HoldCo, the parent company of TYSON 2.0, said the collaboration will allow “consumers to know that the seeds they buy make the same high-quality cannabis that Tyson himself expects.”
