Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is training in Arizona for his upcoming fight with 27-year-old boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul.

In the post, Keenan said Tyson has begun training for the fight, which is set to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

He’s also a rock star — he has three bands, Tool, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle.

And Keenan is a big figure in the Arizona wine industry. His labels include Caduceus Cellars, Merkin Vineyards and Four Eight WineWorks.

Keenan’s new Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria serves pizzas, pastas and salads and is adjacent to a 4.5-acre vineyard. Four 8 Fried Chicken in Cottonwood recently opened in the former Merkin Osteria just down Main Street from the new Hilltop Winery and includes Keenan’s family recipes with input from chef Monty Frost.

Mike Tyson school in Arizona

This isn’t the first time Tyson has been associated with Arizona. Last month, a new private school with ties to Tyson and MMA fighter Daniel Puder opened in Phoenix.

The school, Tyson’s Transformational Technologies Academy, is a part of the Cognia Global Corporate Accredited School System. It is also affiliated with the MLMPI Prep Academy School System.

The school costs $24,000 to attend but tuition ($18,000 in 2024) is covered through the Arizona Department of Education’s Empowerment Scholarship Account program and internal school scholarships, according to the school’s website.

The school is 2825 N. 16th St. in Phoenix and is about “reinforcing the concept of mentorship and accountability and promoting civic leadership and engagement,” per its website.
