But, that does not mean he’s willing to put up with people wasting his time and that showed in footage that has emerged from his visit to Saudi Arabia for the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou fight.
During fight week, the Saudi’s flew out countless combat sports legends, as well as other celebrities, to enjoy the event.
And at one point a photo shoot was set up with them all, but Tyson was not pleased with how much time it took.
Footage has emerged of Tyson stood there waiting to take the photo, but many of the other fighters haven’t turned up yet, and ‘Iron Mike’ gets extremely animated shouting: “Hey listen right, I wanna get the f*** out of here.
“Let’s get this s*** started, man.”
Whoever was organising the photo could be heard in the background saying: “We’re trying Mike, we’re trying,” in an attempt to calm Tyson down.
The video was shared by former Olympic bronze medallist Tony Jeffries, who posted it alongside the caption: “Someone p***ed Mike Tyson off.
“So what happened here… We were at a dinner event in Saudi Arabia with like 50 other boxing champions, they called all boxers in another room to take a picture…
“Me, Frank Bruno, Sugar Ray Leonard, Larry Holmes, & Mike Tyson was there 1st waiting for everyone else ( so surreal).
“As all the champions start walking over I started to video… Tyson was getting sick of waiting…”
In fairness to Tyson, he wasn’t there for leisure like many of the others, he was in attendance as Ngannou’s trainer.
And he did a great job in getting Ngannou ready for fight night, as he performed far better than anyone had expected.
In the ring, Ngannou dropped Fury in the third round and many people believed he deserved to win the fight, but ‘The Gypsy King’ claimed a controversial split decision victory.
