*Back in the day, Mike Tyson’s marriage to Robin Givens had more downs than ups. And while talk of infidelity populated the one-year union, it seemed former President Donald Trump’s name was in the mix regarding Givens’ extramarital “activities.”
So much so that Tyson made it his business to confront Trump personally over an affair with his then-wife, according to Moguldom.com. Revisiting the alleged exchange, the site alluded to “various sources and books,” including Tim O’Brien’s 2005 book, “TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald.”
In the page-turner, Tyson is said to have directly asked Trump, “Are you f***ing my wife?” during a meeting in Trump’s office. Although Trump’s response wasn’t documented in “TrumpNation,” readers were left wondering what happened after the encounter.
Infidelity is among the controversial topics surrounding Tyson and Given, who were married from 1988 to 1989. The pairing itself was marked by scandal with allegations of abuse contributing to gossip. As for the cheating, Yahoo Sports Australia reported that Tyson himself revealed he found Givens in bed with Brad Pitt as his divorce with the “Boomerang” star was proceeding.
Going further back in time, Moguldom examined claims involving the affair via the 2022 book, “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future” and 1993’s “Lost Tycoon.”
“This Will Not Pass” described a dinner Trump had at his New Jersey golf resort with Gov. Phil Murphy and his wife, Tammy. During the dinner, authors and New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns mentioned that Trump talked about Tyson suspecting he had an affair with Givens, according to Raw Story.
In “Lost Tycoon,” Trump biographer Harry Hurt drops Givens’ name while writing about instances where she and Trump were spotted alone together. Among those times was an afternoon and evening on Trump’s yacht. BuzzFeed noted claims from sources cited in the book that involved overhearing Trump complaining about Givens’ oral sex skills
Despite sources claiming Trump and Givens have been spotted together on various occasions, they have vehemently denied the alleged affair.
As for Trump and Tyson’s friendship suffering from the chatter, nothing indicates their alliance has been damaged. The duo’s history goes back some 30 years, with Trump developing a business relationship with Tyson as well as hosting multiple boxing matches featuring the boxing legend in the 1980s. For his part, Tyson was even on board with Trump’s bid for president, telling the Huffington Post, “He should be president of the United States. Let’s try something new. Let’s run America like a business, where no colors matter. Whoever can do the job, gets the job.”
So. what do you think? Is there any truth to the alleged affair between Trump and Givens as well as Iron Mike confronting the former president and “Apprentice” star over the situation?
