Anson Mount dropped a new tease about Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3. The highly-anticipatedthird season of Strange New Worlds is in production in Toronto after being delayed for 7 months by the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. While Strange New Worlds season 3 is top-secret, it’s following up the acclaimed Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, which featured the historic crossover episode with Star Trek: Lower Decks and Star Trek‘s first-ever musical episode.
On his Instagram (@ansonmount), Anson Mount gave his followers a brief tour of his trailer on the Toronto set of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. After showing off his digs, which has a fireplace not unlike the one found in Captain Christopher Pike’s kitchen, Mount revealed they are about to begin filming Strange New Worlds season 3 episode 7. Producing director Chris Fisher is directing Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3’s premiere, which closes out the Gorn cliffhanger from Strange New Worlds season 2’s finale. Also directing Strange New Worlds season 3 episodes are Jordan Canning, Dan Liu, and Jonathan Frakes. Dr. Valerie Weiss, who helmed Strange New Worlds season 2’s courtroom drama, “Ad Astra Per Aspera,” just completed filming Strange New Worlds episode 306.
