According to Variety, the former heavyweight boxing champion will be playing himself in an offbeat superhero film titled Bunny-Man. The plotline surrounding this movi highlights a multimillionaire superhero cloaked in anonymity by a rabbit mask whose aim is to fight back against evil forces. The driving force behind Bunny-Man’s mission is seeded in retribution as his sister committed suicide after suffering a violent act of some sort.
Production for Bunny-Man will be based in the Italian city of Turin. There, Andrea Iervolino and Enrico Remmert will serve as producer and writer, respectively. Iervolino’s prior production credits include Waiting for the Barbarians, Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend, and Ferrari.
“We are excited to embark on this innovative project, 95% of which will be shot on a virtual set,” Iervolino said in a statment. “[With Bunny-Man] we are redefining the boundaries of cinematographic creativity with the goal of offering the audience a unique experience. We are also proud to have a legend like Mike Tyson in our cast, who will certainly help make Bunny-Man even more special.”
As of now, there are there no further details on Tyson’s role. The identities of the film director and other cast members have also yet to be revealed. However, they are described as “international.”
Tyson is previously credited for appearances in films such as The Hangover, The Hangover Part II, and Ip Man 3.
