Mike Tyson has gone through a roller coaster of events throughout his life that madehim the person he is today. When he was a young up-and-coming boxer, he managed to stay out of trouble due to his dedication to the sport. Trainer Cus D’Amato basically became his father and guided him to what would potentially become his entire life.
Along the way, Tyson made some pretty terrible mistakes and crimes that got him in jail and paid his due offenses. Once he got out, the legendary fighter embarked himself into a journey that has brought him plenty of success as a businessman. But also, Mike Tyson’s experiences with consciousness and psychoactive substances have made him question the meaning of life now more than ever.

One of the outlets Mike Tyson has in order to vent or get his message out to the world, is his ‘Hot Boxin‘ podcast. In this platform, he has the chance to speak to some of the biggest names and personalities from all walks of life. Recently, he had Neuroscience Professor, Ph.D. Andrew Huberman as a guest. They spoke about what it means to be alive and the best practices humans can parttake in order to lead a more fulfilling life. But for Mike, all of that may be an illusion. He says: “I mean some people party all their life and some people try to figure what life is all about. And at the end of the they both know nothing about life. You know, I think it’s beyond comprehension. We make it the way we want it to be in our mind but anything is beyond us to even understand what this is all about.”
Mike Tyson also goes on to point out how mental health problems have been at the forefront of issues amongst people. Huberman’s expertise shared insight into how the misdiagnosis and overuse of prescription medicine can often influence many of these problems. According to the doctor, many of these problems can be solved through various activities that include exercise, sunlight, social connection, quality sleep, meditation, stress control, and optimal nutrition. But as far as the meaning of life goes, Mike Tyson hits the nail when he says nobody truly knows what that means. Each of us go through a different and unique experience.
